Roots is establishing Archivan (TM) - a mobile office that will allow the practice to visit more rural communities to host a continuing series of design surgeries. These events make a professional service accessible by ‘moving the office to the customer’ and offering free advice about any projects which the public might have. These could include private houses, public buildings, renovations, new builds or future projects and cover everything from design, drawing, Planning Permission, Building Warrant approval, the construction process, craft, materials, low/zero carbon technology and energy efficiency.
Prior to being crowned 2010 Shell Live Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Scotland), Roots Design Workshop also won a Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas Award.
