The 1999 Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (London) was won by Sarah Fenton and her business Scarlett Jewellery.
Sarah Fenton began trading as Scarlett in 1998 in London. A move to Brighton in 2005 and a rebrand of the business in 2008 co-incided with the 10th anniversary.
Scarlett's range comprises silver charms, engraved necklaces perfect for an anniversary, silver charm rings and stacking rings, bracelets for charms and bangles. Customers love the attention to detail and the personal meaning behind each treasured piece.
The talismanic stories behind the designs remain an essential part of Scarlett's unique identity and many collections are supplied with meaning cards tucked inside the box.
In addition to their Shell LiveWIRE award Scarlett have also received an award from Retail Jeweller, the UK's jewellery trade magazine. Scarlett was awarded the title of "2001 Alternative Retailer of the Year" in recognition for their outstanding level of customer service and innovative approach to business.
Of her business Sarah says: 'I'm an eternal romantic so my jewellery celebrates the landmarks of life. Jewellery is so precious and personal, so for me, it's all about expressing emotion and feelings.'
