Working with Partners: Aquaread
Kent based Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas Award winners Aquaread has
experienced amazing success since being established in 2008 due to their
continual development of cutting edge products.
However the company
has also forged some important links with partners that have helped them
grow to 8 staff from 2 and see a 50% rise in turnover compared with 2010.
One such partnership is that with EcoMind, the environmental market and
innovation development programme for SMEs. EcoMind is a European,
InterregIV A 2 Seas co-funded project and aims to help SMEs overcome barriers in developing and promoting innovative eco-technology products
and services, and helps them take full advantage of the growing market
for more environmentally acceptable products.
Craig Harrison, founder and Managing Director of Aquaread says of the link up: “Being an Innovative and rapidly growing Business we fitted the criteria to receive support from the EcoMind team. Their support over the last 12 months has allowed us to attend trade shows (Pollutec in Lyon, France, and IFAT in Munich, Germany) and increase our visibility in Trade Magazines which are notoriously expensive. Without their support we would have not grown the business as fast as we have."
As well as funding and organising for Aquaread to attend two major international environmental technology exhibitions, Aquaread also benefits from EcoMind’s funding advice and is planning to increase visibility in trade magazines with EcoMind support.
