Shell Springboard Shell Springboard

HiMag Solutions Limited recently received the Shell Springboard Award for the best low carbon business idea in the UK. The award was given at a ceremony in central London to recognise the innovation of its planar transformer which could dramatically increase energy efficiency in electrical devices across the world.


DediPower

Stuart Varrall of Fluid Pixel has won the coveted DediPower Digital Award 2010. The trophy was presented by Rt Hon Stephen Timms, MP, Minister for Digital Britain, at a special ceremony in London on 1st March.


Gregor Mackintosh (22), director of Mackintosh of Glendaveny represented the UK’s young entrepreneurial community as a special guest at the launch in Basilicata in the south of the country.

Daniel Sutherland (Milkistar)

Daniel Sutherland, who was shortlisted for the Shell LiveWIRE Entrepreneur of the Year Award last year, completed the final prototype for his revolutionary new baby feeding bottle, the Milkistar, in September and is now in the process of marketing it.


An award-winning County Durham entrepreneur is going global with the help of Peter Rabbit and friends.


Business Link

Shadow Minister for Business and Enterprise Mark Prisk has prioritised the scrapping of Business Link if the Conservatives come into power. Mr Prisk told the Sunday Times that he believes regional Business Links are "failing in their task" and would like to see local enterprise agencies take a greater role in helping small firms.
